Today we’re here to discuss the benefits of using HGH aka the Human growth hormone. It is pretty common in the fitness world. They say a lot of pro athletes and bodybuilders use it to improve performance.
In fact, it was proven to work so well for pro athletes that it was banned. While it’s produced naturally by your body, the production of this hormone plunges after you pass through puberty—and the muscle building, metabolism-firing, deep sleep-inducing benefits it provides tend to go away along with it. Bummer. You now have the option to inject synthetic HGH and we’ve heard nothing but amazing things about it so far.
Supplementing with HGH has been found to help increase lean muscle mass, reduce body fat, and help achieve greater endurance and promote faster recovery, elevate your mood, improve your sleep cycles, help improve skin tone…oh, and sex drive.
Now, if this all sounds too good to be true, it kind of is: synthetic HGH is pricey, and HGH injections may run well into the thousands of dollars per round. Also, it requires a prescription. So, this is why many of us are on the hunt for an HGH alternative that offers similar benefits.
With that being said, we HAD to give it a shot. For this experimental review, we chose an HGH releaser called Growth Factor 9…
How Does Growth Factor 9 Work?
For starters, Growth Factor 9 is the first non-Rx, OTC supplement capable of increasing blood serum hormone levels through oral dosing (without any weird side effects). The idea behind this supplement is that it will encourage your body’s own natural production process for HGH to kick into super drive. Also, keep in mind – it is important that you use Growth Factor 9 in conjunction with a healthy lifestyle for optimum results.
This a daily supplement that must be taken on an empty stomach. So schedule it out to fit with your daily routine–whatever works best for you and your schedule!
Once you get that part down, this is what you can expect:
● Elevated mood
● Increased lean muscle mass
● Quicker recovery time
What Do The Growth Factor 9 Reviews Have To Say?
The majority of the reviews we’ve seen have been positive. Reviews on Bodybuilding.com and Vitamin Shoppe gave us some pretty high hopes. The average star rating on BodyBuilding.com is 7.2 out of 10 stars….not too bad!
While most reviews say this is the BEST they’ve ever had, some reviews say quite the opposite. In fact, some say things like “complete waste”. Just goes to show you that some things aren’t made for EVERYONE. And that’s okay.
What’s in it? Growth Factor 9 Ingredients
This supplement is primarily made up of amino acids which when used in this combination are a precursor to HGH, thereby stimulating the pituitary gland to release more HGH than it would on its own.
The ingredients list include:
● L-Arginine HCI
● L-Lysine HCI
● N-Acetyl L-Cysteine
● L-Glutamine
● Oxoproline
● Schizonepeta Powder
The proprietary combination of these ingredients in their unique ratios, as found in GF-9, was responsible for the 682 percent increase in GH levels reported in a recent clinical study.
One thing that you do want to take into account, however, is that you can purchase the first four ingredients all on your own as individual supplements. for the higher price point that this product sells for, you are primarily paying for oxoproline and Schizonepeta powder, both of which don’t hold extremely powerful scientific research behind them and don’t appear to provide worthwhile effects.
The other ingredients, on the other hand, are extremely promising!
Let us dive a little deeper into this ingredient list..
L-ARGININE HCL
Arginine is best known for its ability to boost nitric oxide (NO) levels. However, it can also boost growth hormone (GH) levels. It does this by inhibiting production of somatostatin, a hormone that impairs GH production. With the inhibition lifted, GH levels increase significantly.
L-LYSINE HCL
Arginine is an amino acid that is readily converted in the body into nitric oxide (NO), which widens blood vessels to deliver more oxygen and nutrient-rich blood to muscles.
ACETYLCYSTEINE
Acetylcysteine is an amino acid that protects muscle cells from oxidative damage that occurs during exercise, and aids in their recovery. It has also been shown to improve muscle endurance, enhance fat loss, and boost NO levels.
L-GLUTAMINE
Glutamine can also increase GH production. Researchers at Louisiana State reported that subjects taking this amino acid had an increase in GH levels 90 minutes after ingestion. Glutamine is also important for proper immune function, which means more time in top form.
SCHIZONEPETA
This Japanese herb is well known for its ability to enhance immune function in the body, and therefore is often used to combat the common cold. Research shows that it may also help treat certain skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, and rashes.
Is Growth Factor 9 Worth It?
While HGH releasers prove to have some benefits, HGH on it’s own has many, Growth Factor 9 specifically has its pro’s and con’s.
PRO’s
● It has been clinically tested
● Needle free – no injections required
● Subsidized joint pain
● Appears to work especially well for men over 50 to regain energy theyprevious had from reading through customer reviews
● Better skin and sleep
● No known side effects
CON’s
● First, the requirement of having to take on an empty stomach is problematic is because you will have the greatest natural growth hormone release when you first go to bed, not first thing in the morning.
● Pricey (although still cheaper than HGH injections)
● A few negative reviews
● This product does not have a medical endorsement, so you cannot be 100%sure of its safety
Where Can I Buy Growth Factor 9?
If you’re interested in trying, you can purchase Growth Factor 9 at GNC or online here. The 120-count bottle retails for $99.99 and will last 30 days if used as directed. You might be able to find it for a little cheaper online if you dig deep enough.
CONCLUSION
What we gathered from this is that it is worth a shot due to its possible benefits. However, we’re not making any promises.
I’m a little skeptical about this study because while they do give some information about it, they don’t cite the actual study, and I haven’t been able to find it referred to anywhere else.
Something like this, if it were legitimate, would be big news, I would think. We’ll leave it at that and this info marinates for a bit and then leave it up to you decide.
Let us know what you think!
